Advertising

For TBFA, we created the book design, the cover and interior artwork, the page layout, the advertising and marketing collateral pieces as well as the packaging for the audio extensions to each book, for eight different titles.

For the Books

Description of the work flow in the printed versions varies only a little in description. All books were: four color, short-run covers (to allow for frequent changes), printed digitally and separately. The interior pages ranged from as few as 95 pages to some 220 pages -- all printed digitally on the Xerox Docutech machine. The pages and covers were then 'perfect' bound (i.e., glued spines) by hand.

For the Audio

The cover art was repurposed from the same assets used for the printed versions and printed 4/0 on the color Docutech 1050 by Xerox. It was then inserted into the front sleeve of a 5x7", book-type plastic DVD container. The audio tracks were recorded in our office using Mac's Garageband software, exported as AIFF files and sent FTP to a duplicator along with high res disc art.
